2025/2026 Audition Information

BDC Competition Team is open to dancers ages 3 to 18. 

Petite Team (ages 4-5)                   
A NON-AUDITION TEAM
This is our team for the youngest dancers, no prior dance training necessary. Our Petite Team class meets once a week for one hour. We teach our Petites Ballet, Jazz and Tap technique. Also, within this hour we work on the choreography for one dance which will be competed at two regional competitions. See Handbook for more details.
 

Mini Team (ages 6-8)

This team is for the dancer who has taken some recreational classes or was on our Petite team and now is ready for more competition experience. Minis will meet twice a week. They will take individual classes in Ballet, Acrodance, Tap, Leaps & Turns, Stretch and Hip Hop. Minis will learn two or more dances and compete at 4 regionals , 1 convention, and 1 national. They will also attend 1 in studio dance convention.  Auditions are necessary to be a part of this team. See Handbook for more details.


Mini Elite Team (ages 6-8)

This team is for the dancer who excels at technique, acro and the ability to pick up choreogrpahy quickly.  This team will compete large and small gruop dances as well as have a solo. They take class in Ballet, Acrodance, Tap, Leaps & Turns, Stretch, and Hip Hop.  They will compete at 4 regionals, 2 conventions and 1 national competiion. Auditions are necessary to be a part of this team.  See Handbook For more Details

Junior Team (ages 9-11)

This team is for the dancer who has a couple years of dance training, or competition experience. Dancer dance several days a week and take class in Ballet, Tap, Acrodance, Hip Hop, and Leaps & Turns. Juniors will learn two or more dances.  They will attend 2 in studio dance conventions and compete at 4 regionals. Auditions necessary to be a part of this team. See Handbook for more details.

Junior Elite Team (ages 9-12)

This is our team for the advance dancer who excels in all areas of dance & Acro.  This dancer has solid turns, flexibility and is able to pick up choreography quickly.   Solos are by invitation only.  Junior Elites will attend 2 in studio dance conventions and 4 regional competitions and 1 National. This team may be considered for a guest choreographer.  Audition necessary to be a part of this team. See Handbook for more details.

Teen Team (ages 12& Older)

This team is for the dancer who has a several years of dance training, or competition experience. Dancers will dance several days a week and take class in Ballet, Pointe/Pre Pointe, Tap, Acrodance, Hip Hop, and Leaps & Turns. Teens will learn two or more dances and compete at 4 regionals, 2 dance conventions and 1 National. Auditions necessary to be a part of this team. See Handbook for more details.

Senior Team (ages 14 & Older)
This team is for the dancer who has a several years of dance training, or competition experience. Dancers will dance several days a week and take class in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Acrodance, Hip Hop, and Leaps & Turns. Seniors will learn two or more dances and compete at 4 regionals, 2 dance conventions and 1 National.  This team may be considered for a guest choreographer.  Auditions necessary to be a part of this team. Audition Dates

Thursday, June 26th at BDC

3:00pm-4:30pm ages 12+

4:30pm-6:00pm ages 9-11

6:00pm-7:30pm ages 6-8

Audition Details/Parent Informational Meeting

Prior to Auditioning you must attend a Zoom informational Parent Meeting.

If auditioning privately, dancers should prepare a solo or routine from a previous dance they have learned to perform.  Dancers will be asked to demonstrate their splits, leaps, turns and Acro.

Dancers should wear dance attire, such as leotard, sport bra top, dance shorts, and tights.  Hair should be slicked back into a bun or pony tail.  Turners or jazz shoes required to audition.

Results will be emailed to you the 2 days after the audition date.
